It’s the sunrise of a new year. Happy 2017! We’ve turned the page and set our sights on what’s to come this year. For many it’s a time of reflection and goal setting. For others, we’re plowing on refusing to stop knowing we’ll break whatever New Year’s resolutions we might set. For all of us, it’s a good time to reset our inner compass and move forward into the light this year will afford. Here’s a few tips to help you navigate the coming months as it pertains to boating:
- Why not take time to refresh your boating safety checklist and knowledge. You and your family will benefit by knowing that your personal flotation devices are in good condition; your fire extinguisher is properly charged and so on. Why not re-enroll with your kids in the Boat US free online safety course. It’s very good and you can click here to register. Check out the other courses they offer here.
- Plan for a few more happy family memories on the water. You know it has been a long time while reading the notes from my classmates in college that anyone has mentioned their career or awards. Most of our comments are about our kids, families or getting together with our friends. Those thoughts always lead me to commit to planning for more time with my family on the water.
- My new commitments require me to prune elsewhere in my life. Just sayin…
- Are you frustrated with the time and expense involved in owning a boat? Maybe there are some other alternatives to help you reach your boating goals.
- Try something new. Maybe it’s fishing, or taking your boat to a new part of your state, or maybe it’s …
Use sunrise a few more times.
